Memories of Camel Riding

Hey its Pierson Sizelove. Today we took a 2 hour camel ride into the desert where a whole tent palace was waiting for us. While I was on the camel I got to reflect back on last week. I thought about all the kids I got to meet and get to know while at Veer's school. I enjoyed learning more about their culture and how they do things. I realized that we are not much different from them (except for the way they use the bathroom).  We both go to school and learn everyday, we both take time to pray during the day, and we both enjoy playing sports and getting to run around with friends.

One of the funniest parts on the trip so far was when I got a massage from Brother Sanjay, a local masseuse. He started out just massaging the head and he ended up taking my shirt off for me in his store....kinda weird. He ended up coming to the school 3 nights in a row and I got a massage each night. Overall I have had a life changing experience in India.

This is Veer Singh and I want to write on Piearson blog. If you want to change your life just contact Piearson. More information please contact Michael.  It has truly been a blessing for me to minister with these most excellent young men.

This is Mr. Jon Brooks sir.  I know that you parents are enjoying the writings of your students.  Please know that if you have any questions due to the partial telling of story and events, we will be home in 3 days to tell all!  I love your students and are so proud to be leading them through this great adventure.  God is so good!  (Brother Sanjay is coming home with us and we will line up massages on a first come, first serve basis!!)

  1. Hello all:
Brooke Bowen here, oldest (and wisest)daughter of Brad & Sandra :). I've been following your blog...great job to all of the students. Y'all have been great about keeping fresh content on here and involving your supporters in the daily life you are experiencing in India. It sounds like y'all are enjoying the moments and receiving with open hands what God has for you each day.

As I was praying for my parents and all of you guys the morning, I felt prompted to write out a prayer for y'all. May the remainder of your time plant seeds in your lives and others' that will reap a harvest for generations to come.

    Lord:
I lift up dad and Sandra and the rest of my brothers and sisters in India. I have no idea what time it is there right now, but I pray even now in this moment that your Holy Spirit would be unveiling their eyes to your vast love for them. May they live loved, so that they have love to give. May they draw near and know that in their weaknesses You are strong. 1 Thess 5:24 reminds us that: "The One who calls you is faithful and HE WILL DO IT!" You alone are faithful and You alone change the hearts of men. When they can't see the fruit of the seed they are sowing, encourage them to continue to sow because You are faithfully and relentlessly pursuing the hearts of people. May chains be loosed and strongholds be broken in the power and authority of Jesus. "It is finished!" You have declared that over our lives and all guilt/stain/shame has been taken from us and imparted to you in exchange for justification, freedom, and righteousness. May this truth that they proclaim become real in their hearts and may there be a drastic shift in their approach to the Christian life...one that goes from earning and deserving to believing and receiving...from performance to rest...from doing to being...from religion to relationship.
May the whole of their lives be a response to Love and may the Love Letter You've written draw them into deeper intimacy with You. As You weave together the tapestry of their lives, may this trip be a brightly colored thread of remembrance containing poignant moments that forever change their views of themselves, You and the world You've created. As they experience the vastness of Your Body, the global church, may their eyes glimpse a view of Heaven. And as they prepare to return to the States, may their lives tell Your Story. I pray peace over them...that as they return to the demands of daily life here that their hearts may not be troubled or discouraged, but that they will choose trust and not fear. Your glory be known and Your Kingdom come. In Jesus. Amen

    Peace and love. -Brooke
